Is PuffinPilot free to use?
Yes. Planning, budget, notes, checklists and documents are free for up to 3 trips of your own, offline and without an account. Explorer is an optional monthly or yearly subscription that adds unlimited trips, AI trip tools, PDF export and richer place search. You can cancel it anytime in your App Store or Google Play account.
Does PuffinPilot work without an account?
Yes. You can start right away without creating an account, and your data stays on your device. Create a free account later if you want to sync across devices or plan with friends.
How does the offline mode work?
PuffinPilot is offline first. Your trips are stored on your device, so you can read and edit them without a connection. With an account, your changes sync automatically when you are back online.
Can I use the app on several devices?
Yes. With a free account your trips sync across your devices, on iOS and Android. Start planning on a tablet and carry on from your phone.
Can I plan a trip with friends?
Yes. Create a free account, then invite anyone to your trip with a simple code. Everyone needs a free account to join and contribute.
Is my travel data secure?
Once you sign in, your trips are encrypted end to end (AES-256-GCM) before they leave your phone, so we cannot read them. Without an account, they stay only on your device. We never share your travel information with third parties, and you can delete your account and its data at any time.
How do I cancel Explorer?
Explorer renews automatically until you cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. You keep Explorer until the end of the period you paid for, and your trips stay yours either way.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Your trips stay on your device. Synced data and backups are permanently deleted from our servers.
